Finding Joy in Solidarity with Monica, Ces and Fara

Three Filipino women (an author, a healthcare worker and activist, and a performative mapmaker and academic) gather for an evening of sharing, celebrating the everyday struggles and quiet triumphs of living in Aotearoa. Monica, Ces, and Fara will talk not only about surviving adversity in a new land, but also about finding beauty and joy in everyday moments. Since immigrant groups are not monoliths and no single Filipino can speak for the entire community, we have invited these three exemplary women to have their say on the immigrant experience, carving out space for the multiplicity and richness of Filipino immigrant stories in Aotearoa.
