what can we submit and how many?

what to submit: poems – 1 to 3, essay : 1, poster: 1-3, photo: 1-3, illustration: 1-3 (please include title, date created, your name and a brief about work)

which language?

whatever you are comfortable with. however, we would like to know a bit about your work. as long as you can provide us a brief description about your work in English, that will be sufficient.

what should your work speak about?

songs of solidarity (SOS) is about celebrating, acknowledging, and sharing stories of resistance and resilience. we seek to connect intersectional voices from aotearoa with those from global south/third world/other world – voices dreaming of a just and liberated world for all. through this collaboration, we want to reach across borders – push the boundary of transnational solidarity and imagining a world where we are truly connected, despite the piece of state issued papers that define us, and unshaken by the fractured lines that claim to divide us.

who will print this?

sasha (one of the co-dreamers of SOS festival) and other kitaab ghar (the other co-dreamers). other kitaab ghar will sponsor the material cost for printing physical copy.
